Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea’s striker, has been reminded by manager Mauricio Pochettino that he needs to start scoring goals.
Since his summer transfer to Chelsea from Villarreal, Jackson has managed just one goal in the Premier League.
Before the international break, the 22-year-old fired over an empty net in a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.
But Pochettino is confident he’ll get back to scoring goals again.
The only downside was that he didn’t score, but the performance [against Nottingham Forest] was good.
A striker’s job is to score goals and set up others, but we have to remember that Jackson is still young and has recently moved to the United States from Spain. He has to change his game for the Premier League.
He’s doing a great job for the club, so it’s only a matter of time before he gets noticed.
I believe he will improve his finishing skills in the near future. It’s clear he’s a great player, Pochettino stated.
