PDP crisis Obaseki says it’s time to sanction Wike

Dr Pedro Obaseki, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and Director of Research and Documentation for the party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has claimed that it is time to sanction former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike.

According to Obaseki, Wike is a serial betrayer who led a gang of five governors in a series of anti-party operations against the PDP during the presidential election on February 25.

Obaseki made the remarks in a statement issued on Tuesday.

“Wike coming out to ask for the expulsion of the party’s number one leader and presidential flagbearer and the recipient of the mandate of the Nigerian people as declared in INEC’s submission that we won 21 states and asking Atiku to be expelled from the party, Wike has crossed the red line and now, he should be ready,” the statement reads.

“He has all the money he needs to fight us because we’re coming at him like a thousand bricks.”

“He has unleashed the dogs of war, and we will not stand by and watch him ride roughshod over the party and the majority of Nigerians as he did for eight years over the humility of the Rivers people.” That is no longer adequate.”

Obaseki also challenged Wike to publish his bank account when he took office as governor and after his eight-year term as Rivers state governor.

“Wike is an APC member, a sitting Minister in an APC government,” Obaseki added. Wike ran an open campaign against the PDP. We will identify them by their fruits, you see. Wike, for all intents and purposes, is not a member of the PDP.

“If you recall, just a few months before the election, Barrister Nyesom Wike, then the governor of Rivers State, ran to court to seek an injunction to prevent the PDP from expelling him.”

“Why did he do that if he was so untouchable and bigger than the entire party machinery?” Wike is Satan’s lieutenant, whether we like it or not.

“Perhaps that is what reduced the proclivity of the party’s leaders to do the necessary.” And since many of them are doves-men of peace (not everyone is a hawk like Wike), we’ll see if he comes around. The PDP is not a gangster party.”
