Abimiku, a former Nasarawa health commissioner, has died

Dr. Bawa Ahmed Abimiku, the former Nasarawa State Commissioner of Health, has died.

Abimiku, who also held the traditional title of Durbin Eggon, died in the early hours of Tuesday, December 19, at the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi, according to a family source who confirmed the news.

He was a key figure in the health sector during the administration of the late Alhaji (Dr) Aliyu Akwe Doma, serving as both a Commissioner and a member of the State Executive Council, SEC.

According to Islamic tradition, Abimiku’s funeral will take place at the Abuja Central Mosque, FCT, at 2:00 p.m.
