Posted by Isiayaka James, the executive secretary of the Zamfara State Directorate of Sports, has guaranteed that the current governor Dauda Lawal administration has implemented strong plans to promote sports.
During a courtesy call in Gusau, the state capital, the Executive Secretary revealed this to members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) chapter from Zamfara State.
Ishiaku stated that the current administration continues to rank sports as one of its top objectives and that it is always willing to assist any group in advancing sports at any level.
“We’ll make sure sports flourish as long as the industry receives enough attention.
“We will reshape sporting activities in Zamfara State and change the narrative with me leading affairs in this organization.”
He vowed to provide Zamfara’s sports journalists with all the assistance they need to become well-known.
The State SWAN was praised by the director of sports, Nasiru Bakura, and the director of planning, Shehu Aliyu Zurmi, in separate addresses.
Along with promising a strong and cordial working relationship, the pair urged the SWAN to be fair in their reporting.
Isiayaka James was commended earlier by Rabiu Dabbakal, the State Chairman of SWAN, and Theophilus Darofai, his Vice, on his well-earned appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Directorate of Sports.
They urged the Directorate’s leadership to always support SWAN in its athletic endeavors both inside and outside the state.
