Strike: Aso Rock meeting between FG and labor leaders begins

The Federal Government has scheduled a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to discuss how to avert the statewide strike suggested by Organized Labour.

Labor leaders were seen making their way to the meeting location shortly before this report was filed.

Femi Gbajiabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff, and Simon Lalong and Nkeiruka Onyejoecha, the Ministers of Labor and Employment, are spearheading the government’s efforts in these talks.

Remember that on October 3, 2023, the NLC and TUC vowed to launch a nationwide indefinite strike in response to the Federal Government’s strategy of removing fuel subsidies?
