Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Portuguese team, will miss Monday’s Euro 2024 qualifying match against Luxembourg due to a suspension.
The Al-Nassr attacker was cautioned during Friday’s 1-0 victory over Slovakia.
Ronaldo was extremely lucky not to be punished more after he accidentally kicked ex-Manchester United teammate Martin Dubravka in the face.
Referee Glenn Nyberg, however, showed Ronaldo only a yellow card after consulting the video assistant referee.
Ronaldo has been suspended for the rest of the European Championship qualification season after receiving his third yellow card of the season.
