The offer for the 31-year-old striker was over £100 million, with add-ons bringing the total to above £150 million.

Liverpool has reiterated that the Egyptian international is not available for transfer, and that decision is final.

Salah, who joined the Reds from Roma in 2017, extended his contract by three years in the summer of 2018.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp restated the club’s stance that Salah is not for sale on Friday, echoing comments he made last week in which he declared the player was “100% committed” to the Anfield cause.

Nothing has changed with the situation. There is zero uncertainty about that. It is what it is. There’s nothing else to say,” Klopp said.
