In the match at Emirates, Carragher claimed that Ramsdale was acting “fake” when cameras saw his reaction to a crucial stop by teammate David Raya.
Raya, who replaced Ramsdale in the starting lineup, made a spectacular stop from Brennan Johnson that prevented a likely score early on in the match.
Ramsdale was spotted raising his arms in the air and shouting in delight after his colleague goalie made a save.
“Know how it is when someone loses an Oscar but still cheers and applauds for the winner?” While responding to Ramsdale’s reaction to Raya’s save on Sky Sports, Carragher made the following statement.
When I first saw that, I had to laugh. He’s going to be completely heartbroken by this.
Nick Ramsdale, the father of the goalkeeper, responded to Carragher on his X account (formerly Twitter) by saying, “You are a Disgrace!! Be dignified! Oh, my lad has.”
