Rhodes-Vivour, along with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Abdul-Azeez Adediran, filed separate petitions with the tribunal.

The two parties are seeking the tribunal to annul the re-election of governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, citing electoral fraud among other allegations.

Each of them wishes to be considered the election winner.
