NTA reports that President Trump’s Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila made the announcement.
According to Gbajabiamila, President Bola Tinubu’s intervening salary increase of 25,000 Naira for low-grade federal employees will now apply to all federal employees.
As part of the attempts to soften the blow of the fuel subsidy removal policy, Tinubu had earlier on Sunday announced a N25,000 salary reward to low grade personnel in the civil service.
On Sunday, during a national broadcast commemorating the anniversary of Independence Day, the President made the vow.
The pay boost, he said, will be in effect for six months.
