Emir of Ilorin: AGF Fagbemi will implement the Justice sector’s needed changes

Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, has expressed trust in Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), to implement the much-needed reforms in the justice system.

During Fagbemi’s courtesy visit to his palace in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, on Tuesday, the former Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal voiced hope, according to a statement issued by Kamarudeen Ogundele, Special Assistant to the AGF on Communication and Publicity.

Gambari praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing him as the Chief Law Officer of the Federation, claiming that he is capable of revitalizing the justice system and calling the AGF the pride of Kwara.

The king expressed his confidence that Fagbemi would defend the principles of justice and the battle against corruption, saying he had known him for more than 30 years since his days on the bench.

In addition, he praised Fagbemi as a legal legend and philanthropist who had made significant contributions to legal jurisprudence.

In order to bring about the necessary improvement in the justice sector for the benefit of the entire country, the Emir urged players in that area to collaborate with the AGF.
