Despite his brilliance, Tottenham star Harry Kane has Carragher apprehensive about Liverpool’s upcoming matchup

Anfield star Jamie Carragher is ‘worried’ about Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison ahead of Saturday’s Premier League matchup.

The upcoming Premier League match between Liverpool and Spurs will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Carragher has voiced concern over the lack of a holding midfielder for the Reds, which has been brought up in the buildup to the game.

Remember that holding midfielder Jordan Henderson left Anfield this summer for the Saudi Pro League, and that attacking midfielder Thiago Alcantara is now out with a hip injury.

I’m a little concerned about Maddison on Saturday since Liverpool still doesn’t really have a holding midfielder player, despite the fact that he’s been great. “They’ve got [Alexis] Mac Allister playing there, that’s not his role,” Carragher stated on the An Echo To Glory podcast (as cited by The Boot Room).

This is something Liverpool should monitor regardless of whether they replace him or play with two guys in the middle. I think you need to have a game plan for Maddison because he’s been that good this season.
