Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka apologized to Kostas Tsimikas for unwittingly causing the Liverpool player’s collarbone injury during Saturday’s Premier League encounter at Anfield.
Following a challenge with Saka, Tsimikas was forced to leave the game after clashing with his own coach, Jurgen Klopp.
The incident happened during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool, and the Greek left-back was transported to the hospital for medical treatment as a result of the collision.
Saka apologized for the unintended collision that resulted in Tsimikas’ injury during the game.
In his own words;
“I have heard he’s gone to hospital so I want to apologise to him.”
“Of course, I didn’t mean it. It was a coin flip for me, and I went shoulder to shoulder with him.
“I didn’t see but he must have taken a bad fall, I didn’t see that he went into Jurgen Klopp either.”
“I was focussed on running forward because I didn’t think it was a foul.”
