Posted by Former Education Minister Obiageli Ezekwesili praised the European Union Election Observation Mission, saying it did not jeopardize electoral credibility.
The study on the 2023 election, according to Ezekwesili, “surprisingly restored a measure of confidence in election monitoring around the world by not mincing words at all.”
In a statement sent on Tuesday via her verified Twitter profile, the former Minister argued that, unlike its report on Nigeria, Observer Mission Reports were becoming cookie-cutter, sacrificing electoral integrity.
She went on to say that the study “diverged from the global trend and restored confidence in Election Observation.”
She stated,
