Posted by Six people were killed and another six were injured when gunmen, believed to be bandits, assaulted the Takanai Gora hamlet in the Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a statement released by Yabo Chris Ephraim, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Chairman of Zangon Kataf, the six victims were laid to rest on Wednesday morning in the presence of the local government chairman, Francis Sani.
He claims the chairman, who condemned the incident, also advised residents to remain calm and avoid resorting to violence.
Ephraim claims the following people were slain and a further group of people were injured: Kubai Adamu, Judith Adamu, Abigail Adamu, Dennis Joseph, Grace Bitrus, and Adamu Ibrahim.
Kwankwami village, Gadar Gayan, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State was attacked, resulting in the deaths of one person and injuries to three others. The attackers reportedly kidnapped a local man named Mukailu.
