Posted by Obiageli Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education, has maintained her call for an independent technology inquiry into the UTME result issue involving the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, and Mmesoma Ejikeme.
Ezekwesili acknowledged that the JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, called her but that the line was disconnected.
According to JANESCOPE, she previously stated that she contacted Oloyede and demanded an independent probe.
However, following JAMB’s announcement on Tuesday that it had completed its probe into Mmesoma’s alleged faked results, the former minister stated that her demand was still valid.
Ezekwesili stated on Wednesday via her verified Twitter handle that she is interested in JAMB answering some issues in order to clear up the confusion in the public sphere.
She stated,

“I would like to have a number of questions answered by the Exam Body in order to clear up the confusion in the public sphere regarding the JAMB-Mmesoma Saga.”
“What are the true facts of the action that resulted in the Result-Slip that Mmesoma insists she received?”
“Can the public access Mmesoma’s User-Journey?”
“Was this type of tech-enabled double-result unique to her or experienced by any other JAMB exam candidates?”
“Is a Comprehensive Systems Check not essential for JAMB in situations like this, and if so, has one been performed?”
“What is the nature of the interface between the JAMB system/database and the Center where she took her exam, as well as the verification of results?”
“Couldn’t this case assist JAMB in tracing any issues that could jeopardize its systems and architecture for exam integrity?”
“I am glad that the public is interested in learning the truth about this saga because Exam Integrity is central to the global trust placed in countries and their citizens by others, and widely publicized cases like this should serve as a learning opportunity for everyone, including the exam body.”
