Following the end of the protracted strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, students at the University of Ilorin will resume their academic activities on October 24, 2022.
The decision was made after the updated academic calendar was approved by the University Senate at its 291st meeting on Friday, October 21, 2022, according to a statement from the director of corporate affairs of the university, Mr. Kunle Akogun, in Ilorin.
According to the revised calendar, postgraduate and final-year students should return to campus on Monday, October 24, 2022.
The 2021–2022 academic session will begin on December 15 with the return of other groups of returning students.
The statement said, “However, students of the colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, who had yet to finish their rain semester tests before the strike began on February 14, 2022, are expected to reconvene on October 24 to complete such examinations.”
