According to Krishi, who conveyed Abbas’s sorrow at Na’Abba’s death, “former Speaker Ghali Na’Abba was one of Nigeria’s finest lawmakers while he held sway as the number four man.”

“Na’Abba was a lawmaker par excellence; a dedicated, committed and patriotic Nigerian who served his fatherland with zeal.”

He recalled Na’Abba’s exciting term as Speaker of the 4th House, claiming that his legislative achievements helped shape Nigeria’s democracy.

“During Na’Abba’s tenure, he brought unity and stability to the House,” he continued.

“As a legislator, Na’Abba was one of a kind. As Speaker of the 4th House, he demonstrated leadership.

“He inspired members and advocated for the first and only successful veto of a sitting president, resulting in the formation of the NDDC.”

“Long after he left the parliament, he remained politically active, encouraging and motivating us all.” We’ll miss him terribly.”
