Gary Neville, a former defender for Manchester United, has heaped praise on Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard after the team’s 1-0 victory over Everton on Sunday.

At Goodison Park, Leandro Trossard scored the game-winning goal with 20 minutes remaining.

The Gunners dominated their hosts for the majority of the game, although Odegaard put up another strong performance in the middle of the field.

After the match, Neville claimed on Sky Sports that if Manchester City manager Pep Guadiola could sign one player from their championship rivals, it would be the Norwegian.

I’m not saying he’s as brilliant as De Bruyne or Silva yet, I believe he’s got a bit to go in his career, but when I watch him play, it is so smooth, it is so silky,” Neville said of Odegaard to Sky Sports.

I always knew he was a good player, but this is a whole other level of skill and brilliance on the field; he’s got true class.

If Pep Guardiola could pick one player from this Arsenal team, who do you think he’d take?
