After Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino told Nicolas Jackson to “learn and grow up.”
While at Stamford Bridge, Pochettino saw Chelsea lose to Aston Villa despite having a player sent out (Malo Gusto).
The Argentine was questioned about Jackson, who had another scoreless outing and received his fifth caution of the season in the match against Aston Villa.
We were talking, we need to mature as a team,” Pochettino remarked in his postgame press conference.
Despite his tender years, Nico has caught the Premier League bug. Football is a game about winning, but young players also need to develop their skills.
Because of this, we are really dissatisfied. This kind of thing happens way too often.
Jackson moved to Chelsea for £30 million from Villarreal.
The 22-year-old has only scored once for Chelsea this year.
