On Thursday, Makinde made the news.
According to JANESCOPE ‘s reporting, Oyebola was recently named the new Aseyin of Iseyin by the town’s power brokers.
The prince in the United States of America was chosen by the town’s kingmakers just last month.
On Thursday, Makinde signed a document giving the go-ahead.
He explained that he was able to give his stamp of approval because of the Chiefs’ Law, Chapter 28, Part I of the Laws of Oyo State, Nigeria, 2000.
Olusegun Olayiwola, the state’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, said in a statement released on the governor’s behalf that the approval marks the end of a number of protocols required under the state’s current laws surrounding the succession of royal thrones.
The message was provided the Governor’s chief press secretary.
