Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Lagos State Head of Service, has resigned from his position.
He will now concentrate on his new position as Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu.
Muri-Okunola informed state public officials on Monday that his civil service tenure would end on September 29, 2023.
He has already informed the governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, of his intention to retire.
“It has been a truly rewarding journey and experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
“I move on to serve the man who inspired and brought me into public service, and to pursue it as a career that eventually led me to the pinnacle of my career as your Head Of Service.”
“I will be taking on a new role in the Presidency to assist and contribute my quota to achieving our President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.”
