Alvaro Morata, a former striker for Chelsea, has talked about his difficulties growing up in England and the reasons he decided to leave the Blues many years ago.
In 2017, Morata moved from Real Madrid to Chelsea.
The 31-year-old had a good start at Chelsea, but in the end, he was a bust and was traded to Atletico Madrid in 2019.
In an interview with Radioestadio Noche, Morata talked about his difficult Chelsea tenure.
Morata remarked, “I had a really bad time in England” (via Football London).
“I told my wife I might go to a club where I knew there wouldn’t be as much pressure.”
“I don’t have time to berate myself; I don’t look at social media.”
