The Kano State Gubernatorial Election Tribunal has set Wednesday, September 20, 2023, as the date for its decision on the complaint filed by the All Progressives Congress, APC, against Governor Abba Yusuf of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP.

The chairman of the three-member panel, Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, stated that the decision would be issued sooner than the 180-day period allowed by law.
The adjournment came after both sides’ last speeches.

In its final speech to the court, the APC urged the tribunal to uphold its appeal and declare Nasir Gawuna the election winner.
INEC, NNPP, and Yusuf requested that the tribunal dismiss the petition.
