On Wednesday, the law was finally approved.
Yakubu Suleiman, the committee’s chairman, argues that the creation of the Hisba Commission will help the government ensure the correct application of Shari’a law, which will help rid society of all social vices and crimes.
Suleiman thanked everyone in the House for their efforts to pass the Hisba Bill.
Following a recommendation from its Standing Committee on Justice, Judiciary, and Religious Affairs, the Yobe State House of Assembly has approved a bill to create the Hisba Commission in the state, as reported by DAILY POST.
After lengthy debate on the committee’s 41 recommendations, the House unanimously approved the report.
