Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen has issued a warning to Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund ahead of their Carabao Cup match on Tuesday night.

Andersen believes he can manage fellow countyman Hojlund when Manchester United and Crystal Palace meet at Old Trafford.

The Denmark centre-back told the club’s website: “It will be fun to play against him [Hojlund].”

“He is a young man with a good personality, a lot of energy, and really good qualities.” He is swift, powerful, and full of energy.

“It’s difficult to play against a player like him, and I believe his start [in England] has been excellent.” I am overjoyed for him because he scored last week.

“Hopefully he will score a lot of goals for our national team… but I think I can handle him in the games we are going to play against each other.”

In the summer, Hojlund joined Manchester United from Atalanta in a transaction worth up to £72 million.

In the Champions League, the 20-year-old scored his first goal for Erik ten Hag’s team in a 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich.
