Yobe reports one death and 14 injuries due to a flood.

Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, was flooded, resulting in one fatality and 14 injuries, according to the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

A quick review by the SEMA team was made public on Friday by the agency’s executive secretary, Mohammed Goje, via his verified Facebook profile.

The villages of Ganyen Kura, Malari Behind WfP Warehouse, Gujba Road Housing Estate (3-bedroom), Pompomari, Nayi-Nawa, Abbari West, and Bulabulin Tsallake are among those impacted, he said.

The aid organization expressed sympathy and promised immediate assistance within the scope of its resources.

He pleaded with locals to “please adhere to early warnings on relocation, drainage clearing, and all measures that will prevent adverse effects of flooding” as authorities mobilized their resources to do so.
