The single mother claimed that she had become weary of her marriage as a result of persistent pressure from her husband’s relatives to give up entertainment.
Recently, Okorie participated in a podcast interview that her coworker Iyabo Ojo conducted.
“I won’t advise anybody to be in a marriage when they’re not in love with the man,” the woman declared. That, in my opinion, explains why so many women cheat. There are far too many married women that cheat in this Lekki.
I lost interest in love. My former spouse was a decent man. Because of what his family was doing, I lost interest in him. My family didn’t want me to carry on performing. They were against me doing any acting. “You’ll stop doing entertainment if we are going to marry you,” they said. I’ll say things like, “Even my mother can’t stop me.” That’s how I live. You know how long it took me, how many years?
“He [my ex-husband] was rooting for me,” He doesn’t even cause me concern, yet the entire story made me feel as though I was in a location where nobody could possibly comprehend my perspective. They have no idea what I’m trying to do. I need you to follow it with me. That’s what your spouse desires. I can’t let my dream die. I’ve spent so many years working toward this to get here. Therefore, you cannot just decide to give up on your aspirations because you want to marry me when you wake up.
