trans disciplinary Understanding and Training on Research – Primary Health Care (TUTOR-PHC) is a one-year national interdisciplinary training program funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF), with representation from Family Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Epidemiology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, and many other disciplines.

This training program is designed for Canadian university students and supervisors interested in multidisciplinary primary health care research.

UBC’s academic activities is structured into “faculties” and “schools”. UBC’s Vancouver campus has twelve faculties and its Okanagan campus has seven. With twenty departments and schools, the Faculty of Arts, which dates back to the 1915 Fairview Campus, is the largest faculty. The Faculty of Science is the second largest faculty, with nine departments, following the separation of the Faculty of Arts and Science in 1964.

The Sauder School of Business is part of the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration.

The School of Architecture offers a program at the bachelor’s and master’s levels that is accredited by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (M.Arch.).

In December 2012, a new school was established in collaboration with the Sauder School of Business: the UBC Vancouver School of Economics. The School of Biomedical Engineering, the university’s first inter-faculty school, was founded in 2017 as a collaboration between the Colleges of Applied Sciences and Engineering.

UBC established a new “International Programs” designation in 2014, apart from the standard definition of a faculty member. To go along with this classification, the institution established Vantage College, which allows overseas students who do not meet the English language criteria for general admission to enroll in the university’s transition program.

Conditions for Qualifying for the TUTOR-PHC International Awards
Candidates would be requested to show evidence of adequate English proficiency. Examine the English language requirements for more information.

International students must apply.
Candidates must have strong academic credentials.
Candidates must have previously obtained a Certificate of Degree.
Foreign countries are eligible.

Prize amount: up to $48,000

The number of awards is unknown.

Master’s and Doctoral degree programs are eligible for enrollment.

Application Procedure: Candidates must apply for admission to the program at the University of British Columbia. After that, you must apply online.

The application deadline is likely to be in November 2023.
