Dalhousie University offers the A.S. Mowat Scholarship for Foreign Masters Students.

Dalhousie University will award the A.S. Mowat Award to a master’s student in appreciation of extraordinary achievements. The prize will be awarded as study funding for the academic year 2023-2024.

Any interested foreign and potential national students who have enrolled at Dalhousie University in a master’s program in a field of their choice are eligible to apply for the prize. The $1,500 cash prize is only available once.

Dalhousie University will award the A.S. Mowat Award winner a one-time payment of $1,500 as their prize.
A.S. Mowat Scholarship for International Masters Students is intended primarily for Masters students.

Conditions for Eligibility

To be considered for the A.S. Mowat Scholarship for International Masters Students, all applicants must complete the following requirements:

Candidates must be enrolled in the first year of a master’s degree at Dalhousie University as of the application deadline.

Admission applications must be filed through the university’s website. Students who would like to apply for the scholarship

Participants in the program must complete an online application.
Documentation: The university expects the following papers from students:
Transcripts

A curriculum vitae and a reference letter
Statement made on purpose
Statement of research interests

Requirements for admission to a portfolio: The applicants must have completed secondary school (Grade 12), the minimum cumulative grade point average in five academic Grade 12 courses required for your program of interest, and a passing final grade in Grade 12 academic English and any other required subject.

Students must provide the following English language proficiency exam results:

C1 Level 64 MET
CAEL – 70
PTE – 65
