Posted by Phrank Shaibu, Special Assistant on Public Communication to the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential nominee for 2023, Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of plotting to reward Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike with a cabinet post.
According to him, the ministerial appointment was made to thank Wike for rigging the Rivers State presidential election in Tinubu’s favor.
He further stated that the results in states such as Rivers demonstrated that the previous presidential election was not genuine.
In a signed statement, Shaibu said it was unfortunate that Tinubu planned to award Wike with a ministerial portfolio notwithstanding the pending petition against the former Governor, which has received nearly 300,000 votes.
“The Rivers State presidential election was clearly rigged, as evidenced by what INEC has uploaded to IREV.”
“Nearly 300,000 Nigerians have signed a petition on change.org demanding that Governor Wike be denied visas.”
“As a reward for that disgraceful election, Tinubu is on the verge of appointing Wike as a minister.”
“What a pity. And this is the individual who claimed to have campaigned for the implementation of June 12?” read part of the statement.
