Posted by The slaughter of worshippers at a Mosque in the Ikara Local Government Area has been condemned as “wicked and barbaric” by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
This is according to a statement released on Sunday in Kaduna by Gov. Sani’s Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Shehu.
The governor has ordered a full investigation into the incident and the pursuit of those responsible, according to the statement.
Governor Sani has pledged to take all legal measures possible to bring the Ikara thugs to justice.
He promised he wouldn’t stop working until all of Kaduna State was safe again.
We know how worried and troubled the people of Ikara and all of Kaduna State can feel.
We are committed to preserving peace and stability for your benefit and want to assure you that we are working around the clock to that end.
We ask that people maintain a state of calm and vigilance.
Earlier in the month, five people and two people in the surrounding area were killed when bandits assaulted a Mosque while worshippers were inside. (NAN)
