Ezeife, who was also known as Okwadike of Igboukwu, was the first governor of Anambra to be elected democratically. He served in that capacity between the years 1992 and 1993.

It was reported by the Daily Post that the former governor passed away on Thursday at the National Hospital in Abuja. He was 85 years old.

According to the governor, Ezeife would be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to interact with him. He emphasized that his dedication to the welfare of all people, including the common man as well as the rich and mighty, distinguished him as a man who came to serve both God and humanity.

According to Uzodimma, the legacy that Ezeife left behind as a former governor, former Permanent Secretary, and former Political Adviser would imprint themselves permanently in the minds of the people.

It was brought to his attention that the voice of the deceased and the contributions that they had made to issues of good governance in his state, Nigeria, and society in general cannot be forgotten in a hurry.

He prayed to God Almighty that he would provide the departed a sweet repose and that he would allow his family the grace to suffer the loss of their loved one.
