Taraba appoints a new Police Commissioner

Joseph Eribo is the new Commissioner of Police (CP) for Taraba State.

The CP served as the Kogi State Police Command’s deputy commissioner of police for operations before being sent to Taraba State.

He takes over as the State Police Command’s 27th Commissioner of Police, having been appointed to the position on August 27, 1991.

Yusuf Suleiman, the former CP, is replaced by Eribo.

The Taraba State Police Command spokesman, Abdullahi Usman, issued a statement in which he stated, “The newly deployed Police Commissioner is calling on good citizens of Taraba State for their support and cooperation in fighting crime and criminality.”

In order to improve public safety and security in the state, “he is assuring Tarabans that the Command under his stewardship will remain resolute in tackling all forms of crimes,” the statement read.
