Bukayo Saka, an Arsenal attacker, has apologized to Kostas Tsimikas for breaking the Liverpool player’s collarbone on Saturday at Anfield.
Tsimikas was injured during Arsenal’s Premier League 1-1 tie with Liverpool at Anfield after colliding with his own coach, Jurgen Klopp, during a ball duel with Saka.
After the horrific incident, Tsimikas was brought to the hospital.
While discussing on the tackle, Saka stated:
“I’ve heard he’s been admitted to the hospital, so I’d like to apologize to him.”
“Of course, I didn’t mean it. It was a coin flip for me, and I went shoulder to shoulder with him.
“I didn’t see it, but he must have taken a bad fall; I also didn’t see him collide with Jurgen Klopp.”
“I was focussed on running forward because I didn’t think it was a foul.”
