According to rumors, Rema’s “Calm Down” song is the first Afrobeat song to do so.

“Calm Down,” a song from Rema’s debut studio album “Rave and Rose,” was released in early 2022.
The Mavin Records artist also released a remix with American singer Selena Gomez, which had the most streams of any Afro-beat song as of 2022.
