Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United star, claims that the team’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has “publicly embarrassed” Jadon Sancho, a winger.

Remember that Sancho fired back with Ten Hag’s criticism of his training standards at Man United and is now training apart from the first team.

After Man United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League, during which Sancho did not play, Ten Hag made his displeasure with the youngster public.

When Sancho will resume training with the first team is still unknown.

But Ferdinand worries that the England star has gone too far.

On the show Vibe with Five, Ferdinand questioned what had happened before he was kicked out of the team. Do the manager and player have a history together? Is he just being stubborn and not training the way he thinks he should?

To get the most out of Jadon Sancho, he has tried everything. I believe Jadon would agree that he has not yet justified the high price tag and the expectations placed upon him.

The manager has decided, “This is my last chance; I can’t get anything else out of him; I’ll go public and see if the pressure of public humiliation and his pride is enough to make me come back with a performance.”

And he did it to Rashford, he said. When he was late for a meeting, the manager told him to sit on the bench, even though he was the team’s talisman, the source of all of our goals, and otherwise in peak form. You tell yourself, “wait a minute, I am the man here,” out of a sense of ego, pride, and additional pressure. It was a good thing for him, because if Man United had lost, the stadium would have been a cacophony.

In 2021, Man United paid Borussia Dortmund £73 million to acquire Sancho.
