The task force’s removal of the Okada riders was followed by the protest.
In the state’s Alakija region, the task force had also stolen their bikes and loaded them into their vehicle.

In response to the crackdown, however, the Okada riders flocked to the streets and started a blaze on the street as the van that was transporting the seized motorcycles drove away.
When police got on the site, they attacked the demonstrators with tear gas.
