In Kaduna, police apprehend a man who murdered his brother and 502 other suspected criminals

The Kaduna State Police Command has detained 503 people for crimes ranging from banditry to cattle rustling to culpable homicide and other connected offenses.

The Commands’ Spokesman, DSP Muhammed Jalidge, said this at a parade on Thursday.

He added that the culprits were apprehended by the Command within a month.

Among those exhibited was Ismail Mohammed of Maijere Village, Saminaka in the state’s Lere Local Government Area, who kidnapped and later murdered his brother, Kabiru Mohammed, after demanding N120,000 in ransom from the family.

Jalidge went on to say that the suspects had many weapons and money.

“In its duties of securing the lives and properties of law-abiding citizens of Kaduna State, the Police Command has succeeded in arresting fifty-three (503) suspects for various crimes such as armed banditry, armed robbery, handsets/handbags snatching, cattle rustling, culpable homicide, rape, shop breaking, theft, rail track vandalism, and other related crimes,” he stated.
