Concerns regardig Anuku’s appearance and wellbeing had been raised by reports and video clips of him that had appeared in the media.
But in a widely shared video on his Instagram page on Tuesday, the actor opened out about his financial struggles, saying, “Yes, depression makes me drink, but I never take hard drugs, I don’t take hard drugs at all.”
“After crying out of depression, I spent years without a job. Among other things, I was worrying about my kids’ wellbeing and school expenses, and you know what happens when it gets to that point.
The 63-year-old stated, “I call it a breaking point; I was broken to pieces and I had to go drinking and that’s it.”
