Gunmen Take Three Hostage In Osun Village (Read Details)

Three persons were taken hostage over the weekend when armed men burst into a neighborhood in Iwo, Osun State.

According to reports, the assailants broke into the neighborhood on February 20 at 10 p.m. and began firing randomly to intimidate the residents.

The locals scrambled to safety, generating a commotion.

According to a local source, the gunmen kidnapped three persons.

One Hamidat Ibraheem reported the incident, according to the command’s spokeswoman, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the occurrence on Sunday, January 22.

“The gunmen kidnapped a 38-year-old male, Deere Ibrahim, and Hamzat Ibrahim. She stated that the victims are being rescued from the forest by our officers, hunters, and other neighborhood security organizations.
