Guinness World Records has received 1500 applications from Nigerians in two months

Guinness World Records (GWR) has announced that over 1,500 submissions from Nigerians have been received in the last two months.

The mania for Guinness World Record attempts grew after Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, broke the record for the longest cook-a-thon by an individual in May.

After chef Hilda Baci set the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, a substantial number of Nigerians enthusiastically embraced this habit.

According to the institution in charge of keeping the records, many Nigerians have excitedly embraced this trend in the aftermath of Hilda Baci’s successful attempt.

“The attention and excitement generated by Hilda Baci’s cooking marathon certainly encouraged many Nigerians to consider attempting a Guinness World Records title.”

“Since her attempt, there has been a spike in applications from Nigeria, particularly for marathon records.”

“Since the beginning of May, we have received over 1,500 record applications from Nigeria.”
