Posted by The re-election of Diri as governor of Bayelsa State, according to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, is a sign of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) resolve to solidify prosperity in the oil-rich state.
While congratulating his counterpart from Bayelsa, Oborevwori described his re-election as the result of his “humility, hard work, and good governance” in a statement released on Monday in Asaba by his chief press secretary, Festus Ahon. He also praised the people of Bayelsa for sticking by their governor during a time of crisis.
He said that the electorate in each of the state’s eight local government districts loudly and unequivocally affirmed their choice of Diri as governor.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Peoples Democratic Party, Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, the chairman of the national campaign council for the Bayelsa governorship race, and other council members for their tireless efforts that paid off.
