Gov. Namadi tells corps members, “The future of Nigeria is in your hands

The Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, has issued a call to action to the members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, telling them that the future of the country rests in their hands.

This was announced by the Governor at the Dutse Local Government Area’s Gen. Yakubu Gowin’s permanent orientation camp’s ending ceremony for the Orientation Program for 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 Corp Members.

He urged the corps members to reject all societal vices and to respect the traditions of the areas in which they would be serving, as represented by Hon. Sagir Musa, Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture.

You’ll be expected to take on greater roles as leaders in the future, so be prepared to do so with integrity and loyalty.

The fate of our country is in your hands; it will not survive if you do not succeed.

To revive the conscience of our people, he continued, “as change agents, you are expected to contribute to the various government policies and programs through active mobilization, social campaigns, and community service development services.”

Hajiya Aishatu Adamu, the NYSC Coordinator in the State, had earlier issued a warning to the corps members there that they should not run away from their primary assignments.
