Gov Buni gives money and a house to the family of a police officer who was killed by militants from Boko Haram

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has ordered the purchase of a N7.5 million home for the family of Corporal Mohammed Maina, a slain police officer who was murdered last Saturday in a Boko Haram attack on the governor’s convoy on the Maiduguri-Damaturu route.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Mamman Mohammed, the governor’s director general of press and media, revealed this.

In addition to the N1 million allocated for the children’s school fees, the statement claimed that an additional N2 million was provided for the family’s emergency needs.

Additionally, N1 million was allowed by the governor for each of the six other security personnel who were hurt. Governor Buni has granted an additional N2 million to cover their medical expenses,” the statement continued.

Food items were also provided for the injured and the family of the deceased.

Presenting the gift to the late policeman’s family was His Royal Highness, Alh. Shehu Hashim ll Ibn Umar El-Kanemi, the Emir of Damaturu, together with Ustaz Babagana Malam Kyari, the Governor’s Special Advisor on Religious Affairs.
