Niger State Governor Umar Bago has predicted that his administration will bring in N1 trillion.
He predicted that during the following five years, this would be provided by the Niger Food Security and Logistics Company.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja by Abdullberqy Ebbo, the governor’s special adviser on digital media and strategy.
He claims that the change will create jobs for over 100,000 farmers, who will cultivate more than 100,000 hectares of land around the state.
He added that an agreement had been signed by Sadik Kassim, the executive director of TGI Group, a company that offloads commodities, and Mr. Sammy Adigun, the chairman of Niger Foods.
According to Ebbo, Malam Faruk Gumel, the executive vice chairman of TGI Group, and the chairman of Union Bank both observed the signing.
