Elections outside of the regular cycle: IPOB accuses DSS of preventing Nnamdi Kanu from entering

On Monday, the Department of State Services (DSS) received a warning from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to use caution when managing their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The DSS’s decision to refuse Nnamdi Kanu, the organization’s leader, access to guests, was deemed questionable by IPOB.

It said it was absurd for the secret police to suggest that Kanu’s access to visitors was denied because of the off-cycle governorship elections that took place in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States last Saturday.

IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful claimed last Thursday that Kanu was not allowed to have guests due to a secret police operation.

He accused DSS of trying to torture and make life tough for Kanu in a written declaration.

Powerful reports that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) movement, which is worldwide, is concerned about the DSS headquarters workers in Abuja harassing and denying our leader’s visitors. The movement is led by our prophet and supreme leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“On a tenuous pretext, DSS denied Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his guests entry on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

The Abuja DSS’s obviously absurd argument that it lacks the manpower to manage the logistics for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s weekly visitation due to the elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi States is what keeps Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from seeing his visitors.

“Our leader was permitted to have visitors visit him at the DSS detention and solitary confinement facility during the general elections for the positions of Governor, State Assembly, National Assembly, and Presidential.” Therefore, why should the governorship elections in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa States prompt the DSS to deny visits to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu?

This is a deliberate effort to torture and impede Mazi Nnamdi Kanutu’s life. It is odd that the DSS is using the court’s ruling to refuse our leader visitation. Therefore, we caution DSS to exercise caution when managing our leader’s concerns.

“From now on, we do not anticipate our leader receiving any justifications or special guests. IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are aware of the tricks used by the Fulani government of Nigeria and the DSS under the supervision of the Janjaweed.
