Dennis’s future in Istanbul Basaksehir, a Turkish club, is questionable

Emmanuel Dennis’s future is now uncertain after Istanbul Basaksehir, a Turkish team, declined to offer him a long-term contract.

Dennis left Premier League team Nottingham Forest in the summer to sign a season-long loan agreement with Istanbul Basaksehir.

However, the 26-year-old has had difficulty making an impression at the previous Turkish Super Lig champions.

With just eight league games under his belt for Basaksehir, the adaptable striker is yet to record a goal or an assist.

Since joining Cagdas Atan’s squad, Dennis—who was included in Nigeria’s preliminary roster for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations—has battled injuries.

Next summer, he is anticipated to return to Nottingham Forest.
