Chelsea’s attacker has anxiety, according to Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino, manager of Chelsea, has indicated that Nicolas Jackson, a forward, is “very anxious” to find the back of the net.

Jackson, 22, has been under a lot of strain since he was acquired by Chelsea from Villarreal in the summer for £32 million.

The Senegalese international has only scored twice for Pochettino’s squad in eight games in all competitions.

Jackson has received five cautions so far this season, making him ineligible for Monday night’s Premier League matchup between Chelsea and Fulham.

Pochettino remarked in his Friday press conference that “we talk a lot between the players and us, the coaching staff,” before Chelsea’s game against Fulham.

Things you simply have no control over. Sometimes you overlook things because he is so focused on scoring and doing well.

His development is rapid. We’ll be without him on Monday, but I’m hoping the goal he scored against Brighton in the Carabao Cup will boost his self-assurance.
