Posted by The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Taraba State branch has urged the government and intelligence services to act swiftly and forcefully to find the people behind the recent killings in the state.
The call comes after alleged Fulani bandits killed farmers in Taraba State’s Yangtu Development Area on Friday.
CAN asked authorities to make every effort to apprehend those responsible for the crimes in a statement released on Sunday.
The state chairman, Rev. Dr. Isaiah Magaji Jirapye, personally signed the statement, which strongly denounced the “inhuman and dastardly acts.”
The organization stressed how urgent it is to launch a comprehensive investigation to find the attackers and bring them to justice.
CAN encouraged locals to cooperate with security forces and called for calm in the impacted communities. They also urged residents to give pertinent information that could help in the prompt apprehension of those responsible.
